Listen to Obituary

Steven Paul Maltby, a cherished resident of Lancaster, leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born to Robert Sr. and the late Frances (née Bowers) Maltby, Steven was the beloved husband of 28 years to Bonnie (née Oleksy) Maltby. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Emily and Bradley, who will forever hold his memory dear.

Steve was a devoted brother to Patricia (the late David) Young and Robert Maltby, Jr., and a treasured family member, surrounded by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

His professional life flourished over 31 years as a Project Manager Engineer at Airsep Corp., where his expertise and oversight reached international projects.

A man of simple pleasures, Steve found his greatest joy in the company of his family. He proudly took on the role of a dedicated hockey dad, never missing a game or practice for 16 years. His heart was as big as his love for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. He cherished traveling and enjoying cruises. Known for his passion for home improvements and DIY projects, Steve was as nurturing to his home as he was to his family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 10th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 5090 Transit Road, Depew, NY 14043.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice Foundation & Roswell Park, specifically supporting Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Above all, Steve will be remembered as a great dad, husband, and friend—a life well-lived, surrounded by love.
