Stanislawa "Stasha" Laskowski, a graceful and compassionate soul, passed away on Monday the 11th of August, 2025, at Sloan Comfort Care Home. Born on December 29, 1956, in Szprotawa, Poland, Stasha immigrated to the United States in 1988, driven by a profound desire to provide her children with greater opportunities.
Stasha leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Pawel Laskowski and his husband Andrew Dorman, and Lukasz Laskowski; her daughter, Agnieszka Irish, and her husband, Sean Irish; their father Zbigniew Laskowski; her sister, Jolanta Kaczmarek, and her granddaughter, Emma Irish. Stasha's legacy also extends to several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends who cherished her deeply.
A dedicated professional, Stasha served as a Radiologic Technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital for over twenty years, proudly contributing to the health care community including serving as a front-line worker during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was an active member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), where her expertise and dedication were well recognized. She was awarded the Love Award by the Catholic Health System for providing outstanding patient care. An award that is initiated by an internal nomination by a coworker or patient and then selected by a committee vote.
Stasha's hobbies included hiking, traveling, reading, gardening, and cooking international cuisine, reflecting her vibrant spirit and passion for life. She also enjoyed hosting dinner parties for family and friends. Her family enjoyed the warmth of her great love and the nurturing home she created.
Stasha is predeceased by her parents, Stanislaw and Irena Mikolajczyk, and her brother, Miroslaw.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or Sloan Comfort Care Home.
Stasha Laskowski will be remembered fondly for her compassion, love for her family, and the grace with which she navigated the world. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
