Sophie Piszczak

PISZCZAK - Sophie (nee Wasyliw)
September 16, 2012 died peacefully with her beloved daughter Barbara (late Eugene) Makuch and her dearest granddaughter Sophia (Kevin) Hejmanowski at her side; daughter of the late Paul and Julianna (nee Pilch) Wasyliw; loving wife of the late Jaroslaw Piszczak and the late Constantine Pachanowski. Sophie is also survived by her much loved children, Joseph (Margot), Henry (Carol) Allon, Antonina and the late Roman; loved Babchi of ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; special Babchi of Tyler Michael Hejmanowski; sister of the late Joseph Wasyliw, Kataryna (late Ignac) Wasylowski, Anna (late Stanley) Podkanowicz and Antonina (late Emil) Witryk. A special Thank You to those who loved her and cared for her during her last months and days. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 AM and from St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 11 AM. Panachyda Tuesday 8 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church 308 Fillmore Ave. Buffalo, NY 14206-2097. Sophie leaves behind a legacy of unmitigated love and strength.
