Sharon A. Tarapata

Sharon A. Tarapata (nee Lewandowski), 75 of Amherst, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her and though she will be dearly missed, she will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Michael A. Tarapata; her children Brian Guggemos, Christopher Guggemos, Dawn Fiorella (Stephen), Kimberly Barry (Ron), and Stephen Tarapata, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Judith Brayer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who held her dear.

Sharon found joy and purpose in her artistic talents, especially in ceramics and knitting. Her heartfelt creations were often auctioned or donated to support local charity groups and her church, demonstrating her generous spirit and extending her care to those in need. She shared her love through her cooking, and her incredible spare ribs and beef stew were family favorites.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or graveside services. A Funeral Mass to honor Sharon’s beautiful life will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 11:00 AM at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, 2368 Eggert Road Tonawanda, NY 14150.
