July 23, 2012 of Cheektowaga, NY Beloved husband of 52 years to Nella (nee Saia) Sergi. Dearest father of Salvatore Sergi, III, Josephine (Iano) Savaglia, Dominic Sergi and Rosanna (Edward) Kutas. Dear grandfather of eight grandchildren. Loving son of the late Salvatore and Giuseppina (nee Bordonaro) Sergi. Survived by two brothers and four sisters in Sicily. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and from St. Philip the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation 15 Prince St Rochester, NY 14607-1495.
