December 30, 2017 age 72 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of 47 years to Barbara (nee Kostrzewski); dearest father of Erik (Bernadette), Monica (Peter) Metzger and Melissa (Michael) Roncone; loving and proud grandpa of Vanessa and Savanna Heymanowski, Shaiann and Lily Metzger and Angelo Roncone; son of the late Henry and Helen (nee Zdolinski) Heymanowski; brother of Karen Jakubczak; brother in law of James (Danielle) Kaye, David (Donna) Kostrzewski and Susan (Brad) Berner; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday January 4th from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 AM and from Infant of Prague Church at 10 AM. Mr. Heymanowski was a combat Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was very active in his community. www.sliwinskifuneralhome.com
