Born, Roberta Louise Trimble at Sisters of Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, New York on July 7, 1963 to Robert Eugene and Barbara (Hogan) Trimble of, Pennsylvania. Roberta attended catholic school before attending Cheektowaga school system. Roberta met her husband, Arthur Michael Babirad, on a school bus before getting married on December 16, 1981.
Roberta was employed by E&B Equipment and Furniture Company as a secretary before taking a position with Cheektowaga Central High School as a Secretary at the Middle School and then applied to be a hall monitor until her retirement in 2017. Before she retired, she helped with fundraising for the football and wrestling teams. One of her favorite events was watching both of her boys, Jason and Justin, playing and excelling in their school sporting events. When she left for retirement life, she left with a heart full of friends who she saw from time to time.
Roberta’s heart filled with joy when she found out that she was going to be a grandmother. James Justin was born on 11/14/2020 and called her “Grammie.” Henry Robert was born on 10/4/2022. She called them her “Heartbeats.” Her favorite song to sing to them was “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. Dogs were among were favorite, any and all types. Her fur children that have passed on through her life, will run with her at the Rainbow Bridge – Tinkerbell, Keegan, Bai-Lee, Ri-Lee, Doxie, Frankie, Maggie, Zoey, Crush, Sneakers. Her earthly pups, Finley, Jack Joseph and Teddy Roosevelt will miss her too.
Roberta leaves behind a legacy of love and passion with everything she touched. Her extended family has supported her throughout the journey she has taken, as she has always supported them. Roberta is survived by her husband, Arthur Michael; her children, Eric James (deceased), Jason (Amy), Justin (Leah), Lee and her Heartbeats – James Justin and Henry Robert; and her fur baby – Finley.
Family and friends may be received on Thursday, September 24th from 4-8 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals- 5090 Transit Road Depew 14043. A Funeral Service will follow on Friday morning, September 25th at 10:00 AM.
