October 2, 2012 of Cheektowaga, NY Beloved husband of 66 years to Marie V. (nee Schmid) Napierala. Dearest father of Frederick (Carol Arnone), Robert (Carol), Randal (Cindy) and Gregory Napierala. Dear grandfather of ten grandchilden and three great-grandchildren. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. and from St. Gabriel Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment St. Matthew Cemetery. Mr. Napierala was a retired Major with the US Army serving during WW II in Germany, participated in the invasion of Normandy, several battles during the European Theater and a member of the Pvt. Leonard Post V.F.W. Post #6251. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, contibutions may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd. Cheektowaga, NY 14227
