Raymond P. Wittmeyer, Jr., 84, passed away after a lengthy illness on April 13, 2025. A husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, and brother, Ray built a life defined by hard work and impeccable integrity.
Born on September 13, 1940, Ray married the love of his life, Marcia Wittmeyer, with whom he shared almost 60 years of marriage. Together they owned and operated R&M Dental Laboratories, where Ray dedicated many hours to his craft. His work ethic was strong, and his commitment to his profession influenced colleagues, clients, and students. Ray also served as a professor at Erie Community College, where he shared his knowledge and took pride in supporting the next generation.
Ray enjoyed simple, meaningful pursuits. He liked fishing, the calm of the water, and working on older cars—hands busy, mind focused. He was a steady provider.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marcia, and his son Kris (Nicole) Wittmeyer. He is preceded in death by his son, Paul Wittmeyer, whom he now joins in eternal rest. Ray leaves behind a proud legacy through his grandchildren—Joshua, Cole (Tabatha), Tyler, Nicholas, and Paiden—and his great‑granddaughter, Scarlett. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-laws and his sisters‑in‑law.
Ray’s life was one of purpose, hard work, and quiet devotion. His family will remember him for his strong work ethic, his craftsmanship and his integrity.
