February 26, 2013 age 86 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of the late Concetta M. (nee Marchello) Tachok; dearest father of Paul J. (Gail) Tachok and Mary (David) Hess; loving Papa of Laura (Philip) Holmes, Alison Hess and Megan (Jason) Babirad; dear Great Papa of Erin Harper and Reid Philip Holmes; brother of Norma Wendel, Gloria (Norman) McLaughlin and Cecelia Tachok; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM and from Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel at 9:30 AM. Mr. Tachok was an Army Veteran of WW II an Exempt Life Member and served as Fire Chief of U-Crest Fire Company #4 for 18 years and Past President of IUEC Local 14. Memorials may be made to Our Lady Help of Chistians Preservation Fund 4125 Union Rd. Cheektowaga, NY 14225
