It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patricia A. Szymanski, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and forever friend. Patricia left us peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
Patricia was the devoted wife for 64 years of Richard Szymanski, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. She was a nurturing mother to Kathleen, Ann Marie, Mary (Nicholas) Serio, Sandra (Kenneth) Stoeckl, and Cynthia (Gearld III) Dickey, who will forever cherish her warmth and kindness. As a grandmother, she was a source of joy and support for Alyssa (Brandon) Boczar, Erica (Tyson Rogers) Stoeckl, Adam (Jaclyn MacVittie), Nicole Serio, and Keira, Matthew, and Justin Dickey. Patricia was also a proud great-grandmother to Miles Boczar.
She shared a special bond with her siblings, having been the dear sister to the late Eleanor (Richard) Koziarski, the late Marion (John MD) Kostecki, and the late Harold (Michelle) Graham. She is remembered fondly by her brother-in-law, Norman (Vivian) Szymanski, and many loving nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her spirit and generosity.
Patricia had a vibrant passion for life, participating actively in the Polka Boosters and the Amherst Senior Travel Club, where she formed cherished friendships and created lasting memories. She enjoyed polka dancing, playing bridge, trips to the casino and her beloved Buffalo Bills, of which she attended Super Bowl XXVII in Pasadena, California with her sister Marion.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patricia’s life and legacy at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd. in Depew, NY, on Monday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption RC Church. We kindly ask that attendees assemble at the church.
In honor of her spirit, the family requests that, if desired, contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association to support continued research and care.
Patricia’s laughter, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May her soul rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
