Norine A. Wightman

Norine A. Wightman, born on December 28, 1940, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026. Her long life was marked by dedication to family and the love she extended to those around her.

Norine is lovingly remembered and survived by her three sons: Raphael, Jeffrey, and Jason Wightman. She also leaves behind a cherished daughter-in-law, Rachel, who became part of the family's tapestry through love and companionship.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Eric, and Nicole Wightman, Heidy, and Arelis Nieves, Emily Trifilo, Yasmin, Sarah, and Coralis Nieves. Norine’s devotion to her grandchildren was unwavering, and she took great pride in witnessing and supporting their journeys. Her family tree has also grown to include her great-grandson, Luca Leandry, whose presence brought Norine much joy.

Throughout her life, Norine exemplified strength, kindness, and warmth. Her home and heart was always open, and those around her felt like they belonged. Her home cooked meals were always a treat and we will especially miss her beef stroganoff and deviled eggs. She took enormous pride in her role as a matriarch, guiding her family with a gentle but steady hand. Her wisdom and compassion were felt by all who knew her.

A visitation to honor Norine’s memory will take place on June 30, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043. Family and friends are invited to join together, sharing memories and offering support to one another as they remember Norine’s remarkable life.

Norine A. Wightman’s presence will be sorely missed, but her love and the lessons she imparted will remain with all who had the privilege to know her.
