Nancy A Cornman, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
She was born in Greensburg, PA and grew up in Mecklenburg, NY, the beloved daughter of the late Ceceila Kons and George Steck. Upon graduation from Trumansburg High School, Nancy moved to Ithaca and worked as a secretary at Cornell University. After marriage to David Cornman of Ithaca, she and her husband moved to Rochester, NY in 1960 and later settled in Henrietta, NY. From there she worked in administration for the University of Rochester, and later, for New York State. After David’s death in 2008, she moved to West Seneca, NY. Nancy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend who emanated a quiet, gentle, and caring nature of patience, kindness, and steadfastness to all.
Nancy is survived by her son Kenneth ( Leslie) Cornman of Depew; daughter Susan Browne of Canandaigua; granddaughter Alyson Welch and great grandson Caleb of Canandaigua; daughters Allison Vazquez (Jon) of Buffalo, NY; Kayleigh Fischer (Jarod) of Houston, TX; and great grandchildren Grace, Sarah, Christopher, and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Cornman, and grandson Bradley Welch.
A private service will be held at a later date in Valois, NY.
