Michael Trost

With heavy hearts, we remember Michael Trost, of Depew, who graced this world for 75 remarkable years. He was a devoted husband to Heather (nee Loughrey) Trost, sharing 55 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a life of love and happiness that will be forever remembered.

Michael was a beloved father, guiding his children with compassion and integrity. He leaves behind his children—Erika (Bryan) Carl, Jason (Stacey), Adam, and Carl (Jennifer) Trost—each of whom carry his spirit and values within them. The laughter and joy he shared with his grandchildren—Matthew, Carter, Benjamin, Aaron, Lily, Nicholas, Emery, and Jacob—are gifts that will echo in their hearts for generations to come. Michael is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Though he is preceded in death by his parents, Francis "Frank" and Margaret Trost, and his siblings, Edward Steitz and Patricia Fitchner, Michael’s lasting influence remains a testament to the love he fostered within his family.

A passionate man, Michael spent 25 years as the proud owner of Cycles Plus, an esteemed bicycle shop in Clarence. His love for motorcycles, bikes, and cars was matched only by his enthusiasm for gathering with family and friends at car shows, where his heart found its rhythm amidst the revving engines and shared stories.

Family and friends are invited to honor Michael’s memory on Monday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Road, Depew. Flowers gratefully declined. In this time of reflection, let us join together to celebrate a life well-lived and share in the love he so generously gave.
