September 9, 2012 Beloved husband of the late Alice M. (nee Rucinski) Janora. Dearest father of Jacalyn (Dean) Blackley, Carl (Suzanne) Janora, Michelle (Brian) O'Mara, Susan (John) Koszela and Jennifer (Col. Mark, US Army) Fassl. Dear grandfather of Christine, Kathryne, Sean, Christopher, Michael, Megan, Jack, Julia, Jillian and Sam. Predeceased by brothers and a sister. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and from St. John Gualbert Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Michael was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, a retired engineer with Bell Aerospace working with NASA on the Apollo Space Program and President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Queen of Peace Church for over 40 years.
