Maurice T. Janeczko

Maurice Janeczko, who passed away on July 25, 2026, of Cheektowaga, NY, was a man of many layers and lasting impact. He was a devoted husband to Diana (née Piechowiak), and a brother to Loraine. His legacy is woven into the hearts of his nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

A man of service and dedication, Maurice was proud to have served with the United States Army National Guard and the NYS National Guard. His commitment to community shone through in his roles as a member of the Ismailia Shrine and as a former Erie County Deputy Sheriff. Maurice's passions were as varied as they were profound—whether it was the thrill of a motorcycle ride, the quiet pursuit of a fishing line, or his fascination with short wave radios and collecting his  treasures and tools.

As a 33rd Degree Mason and a Chaplain within many Masonic organizations, Maurice embodied the values of fraternity and charity. In memory of his love and dedication, contributions may be made to the Ismailia Shrine Travel Fund.

Friends and family are invited to honor his life on Saturday, August 8th, from 11 AM to 1 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, where a Celebration of his Life will follow at 1PM. Maurice's vibrant spirit and warm heart will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
