Lois A. Gray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois A. Gray (nee Trometer) on August 30, 2025, in Clarence, NY. Lois was a devoted wife to her late husband, Charles “Chuck,” and a loving mother to her six children: Colleen Hoar, Eileen (John) Rosenquest, Martin (Camille) Gray, Teresa (Thomas) Orr, Kathleen (Thomas) McDonald, and Christopher (Lynn) Gray. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, who number 18, as well as three great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

Lois was also a dear sister to Kenneth (the late Amarlys) Trometer and was predeceased by her brothers Richard (Jane), Robert (Linda), William (the late Peggy) Trometer, and sister Peggy Trometer. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, who carry forward her spirit and warmth.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones on Monday September 1, from 3-7PM  at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 2, at Our Lady of Peace Church in Clarence, NY, at 10:00 AM. We kindly ask that attendees assemble at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Vincent DePaul, honoring Lois's commitment to helping those in need. Lois's generosity and kindness will be deeply missed, and she will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.
