In the quiet moments of autumn, on October 6, 2025, we bid farewell to Kathleen Balcerzak, a remarkable matriarch whose warmth and spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Beloved wife to the late Frank, Kathleen embodied love, nurturing her family with an unwavering devotion that was palpable in every gathering.
A loving mother, she cherished her sons John, Bill (Lisa), and Don (Cheryl), fostering a legacy of connection and kindness that will be carried forward by them. As a grandmother, Kathleen brought joy to the lives of Amanda (Bobby), Breanna, Alex (Olivia), and Courtney—their laughter a melody that filled her home. Blessed with the role of great-grandmother, she reveled in the joy of Mackenzie, Olivia, and Henry, showering them with affection and creating fond memories that will be cherished for generations.
Kathleen was the sister of Norman (Mary) Amann, and held the memory of her late sister, Florence (late Pete) Nebrich, close to her heart. She leaves behind nieces and nephews, each of whom carry reflections of her loving spirit.
The family invites all who wish to celebrate Kathleen's life to join them on Thursday from 4-8 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, NY 14043. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. John Vianney RC Church. Attendees are encouraged to assemble at the church to celebrate a life well-lived. Following the Mass, Kathleen will be laid to rest at St. Matthews Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you remember her with your presence and warm memories.
As we gather to honor Kathleen, let us celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments—a life that profoundly touched us all.
