"Sonny Joe"
Joe, your life was truly a blessing, and your memory is a treasure we will hold dear in our hearts. You are loved beyond words and will be missed more than we can express. Today, we come together to celebrate Joseph—the devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather you were.
On September 26th, Joe left this world to be with the Lord. A proud graduate of Cheektowaga Central Class of 1962, he cherished many wonderful years in retirement. His adventurous spirit took him on memorable trips to Jamaica and Las Vegas, and he found joy camping at Sleepy Hollow with close friends. Joe also had a passion for coaching baseball and hockey at Beverly Hills, sharing his love for the game with the youth. He was an active member of Eddie's SAC Club and enjoyed perfecting his woodworking skills.
He is survived by his beloved wife, DiAnn (nee Bauer), and his devoted sons, Mark and Eric (Karla Kay). Joe’s legacy lives on in his loving grandchildren—Davetta, Michaela, Jenna, and Robert—and his cherished great-granddaughters, Anastasia and Heidi. He was also a caring uncle to many nieces, each of whom carry fond memories of their time with him.
The family invites all who knew and loved Joe to join them in honoring his memory. Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 3, from 3-8 PM at New Comer Creations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 4, at Queen of Martyrs RC Church at 10:00 AM. We kindly request that those attending please assemble at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice as a tribute to Joe's remarkable life.
