October 22, 2012 of Cheektowaga, NY Beloved husband of Judith A. (nee Toczylowski) Ostempowski. Dearest father of Kenneth (Wendy), Michael, MD (Robyn) and Mark (Michelle) Ostempowski. Dear grandfather of Samuel, Rachael, Anna, Abigail, Justin and Luke. Son of Helen (nee Lawniczak) and the late Joseph H. Ostempowski. Brother of Daniel (Linda), Peter (Linda) Ostempowski and Susan (Kenneth) Kowalski. Son-in-law of Louise and the late Stanley Oczowinski. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday in St. Philip the Apostle Church 950 Losson Road at 10:00 a.m. (please assemble at church) Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Mr. Ostempowski was an Air Force veteran and a retired Cheektowaga Police Detective. Flowers gratefully declined.
