It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph DiGiacomo, a cherished soul who graced our lives with his warmth and kindness. Born into the loving embrace of Sebastian and Carmela DiGiacomo, Joseph leaves behind a legacy woven with the threads of family and service.
He was a devoted brother to the late Pat (Marty) DiGiacomo and the late Marie (late Peter) Scoma, holding their memories close as guiding lights throughout his life. As an uncle, he nurtured bonds with great care, his love reaching out to Pat (Darcy) DiGiacomo, Camille (John) Madsen, Peter (Vivian) Scoma, Michael (Lisa) DiGiacomo, Julie Scoma, and a multitude of great nieces and nephews, each of whom he cherished dearly.
Joseph's professional life was marked by dedication and skill at National Fuel Gas, where he served as a Corrosion Technician for over 30 years. Alongside this, he took pride in his role as Financial Secretary of IBEU Local 2154, leaving an indelible mark on his community. A selfless volunteer in his retirement, he lent his time and compassion to the American Red Cross, embodying the true spirit of giving.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Sunday from 3-7 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. Gabriel's RC Church, as we unite to honor a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to be made in Joseph’s memory to the American Red Cross or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, reflecting his enduring commitment to helping others.
Joseph DiGiacomo may have left this world, but his spirit and legacy will forever illuminate our hearts.
