July 21, 2018 of Hamburg, NY; age 84; Beloved husband of Donna L. (nee Tilney) Hicks. Dearest father of Lori Wilson and Dennis M. (late Kim) Wilson. Dear grandfather of Christopher (Sarah Jaworski) Wilson, Donnalee (Rob Highway) Lochbaum and great-grandfather of Gage and Gemma. Brother of the late Jeanne Heubusch. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. John was an Air Force veteran and a sports enthusiast. Flowers gratefully declined.
