James W. Possinger

James "Jim" Possinger passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 27, 2026. He is survived by his wife Trudy Possinger (Zobrest), brother Frank Possinger (Jolene), sons Brian Possinger (Julie), Keith Possinger, and grandson Lucas Possinger. He served in the US Army overseas before he returned home to attend college. He graduated from Niagara University with a teaching degree and taught in the Buffalo Public school system for 32 years.  His positive influence was felt in the lives of his many students. Upon retiring he and his wife traveled extensively and experienced many different cultures and sites. The friends they made during these travels lasted well after the trip was done. Jim will always be loved by family and those whose lives he touched and influenced. To those who knew and loved Jim, may his absence be softened by the recollection of better days, and may his legacy live on in the hearts he left behind.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
