It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Charles Marien, aged 84, of Lancaster, New York, who left this world peacefully on May 20, 2025, surrounded by his adoring family.
Born in Buffalo, New York, on October 1, 1940, Jim was the cherished son of the late Mary and James Marien. He spent his formative years in Buffalo, culminating in a proud graduation from Maryvale High School in 1957. Following his high school years, Jim answered the call of duty, dedicating four years to the U.S. Marine Corps, where he not only honed his sense of responsibility but also forged lasting friendships based on mutual respect and companionship.
Upon returning home, Jim embarked on a beautiful journey of love and family with his beloved wife, Janice Rose Marien. Together, they nurtured a warm and loving household, welcoming two wonderful sons, Bob and Ron, into their lives. After the profound loss of Janice in 2007, Jim found solace and companionship once more with a high school sweetheart, Sandra Fullex. Their bond flourished over 15 splendid years until her passing in 2024.
Professionally, Jim enjoyed a gratifying 30-year tenure at Ford Motor Company, renowned for his innovative designs and effective leadership, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond the workplace, he embraced the great outdoors with passion, indulging in hunting and fishing, yet it was in the company of his family where he found his greatest joy.
Jim’s legacy lives on through his sons, Bob and Ron, and his treasured grandchildren, Alexis, Brianna, and Katie. He is also survived by his sister, Donna, and brother, Ron. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary and James Marien, his devoted wives Janice and Sandra, and his brother, Wayne.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043, on Saturday, May 31, from 12 to 3 PM, with the service commencing at 3 PM.
