James P. Kent

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James P. Kent of Cheektowaga, who entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2025. James was a beloved husband for 62 wonderful years to his devoted wife, Mary Jo. They built a beautiful life together, filled with love and cherished memories.

James was a devoted father to Christopher (Lori) Kent, Timothy (Dawn) Kent, and Steven Kent, whose lives he touched with profound love and guidance. He was also a proud and adoring grandfather to Lexy (Conor) and Kayla, who brought him immeasurable joy and laughter.

A dear brother to the late Anita (late Ray), James leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be fondly remembered by family and friends alike.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate James's life and legacy at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd., Depew, on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 950 Losson Rd., Cheektowaga. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your understanding and support during this difficult time.

James's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
