Gerry A. Baker (nee Hoffman), beloved wife of the late William R. Baker, Loving mother of Jo Anne (late Nicholas) Walker, Michael (Kathy), John (Lori), William (Janet), Adam (Tammy), and Amy (Steve) Kowalczyk, also the late Jay.
Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Hoffman, also survived by her siblings Marie Keppner, Gary Hoffman, David Hoffman, and Linda Schueler, and many nieces and nephews.
Gerry was born on December 10, 1932 and lived in West Falls, NY throughout her life.
She was one of the original employees of Moog, Inc. serving as William Moog's personal secretary until she "retired" to raise her family. She was a Sunday school teacher at the Griffins Mills United Presbyterian Church for a number of years. She also was a longtime member of the West Falls Home Bureau and the West Falls Women's Connection.
In her free time Gerry enjoyed doing crafts, and to the delight of all of her family-baking chocolate chip cookies! She also liked to play bingo and visit Hamburg Gaming.
If you were to ask any of her children they would tell you that she could do just about everything, but her passion was her flower gardens and that was evident if you simply drove past her home. She was the beautiful flower in our lives.
Memorial gifts if desired may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.
Interment at a later date will be private.
