Went into the arms of the Lord on October 11, 2013 at the age of 78 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved husband of Helen A. (nee Fronckowiak) Yerina; dearest father of Michelle (John) Pikula, Brian (Andrea), Charlene (Vincent) Ricotta and Eric Yerina; loving grandfather of Jennifer, Justin, Anna, Colin, Dominic, Aaron and Lucas; great grandfather of Evelyn; son of the late John and Kathryn (nee Kratofil) Yerina; brother of the late John (Bella) Yerina; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday from 4-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday in Queen of Martyrs Church at 9:30 AM (please assemble at Church). Entombment to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Yerina served in the US Army and a retiree of Erie County Dept. of Social Services. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
