December 20, 2012 of West Seneca, NY. Beloved husband of 62 years to Nelda T. (nee Colafranceschi) LaManna; dearest father of Rebecca (Ronald, Jr.) Stock and Louis LaManna; dear grandfather of Kara (Ryan) Hines and great grandfather of Anthony Jr., Andrew, Nolan and Nathaniel; predeceased by his loving grandson Anthony Wittman, two brothers and one sister; also survived by one brother, nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Rd. (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:15 AM and from Queen of Heaven Church at 9 AM. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. LaManna was an Army veteran of WW II, receiving the Bronze Star and was Professor Emeritus at Erie Community College, South Campus. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to either the American Heart Assoc or the SPCA serving Erie County.
