On April 3, 2026, Erin Marie (neé Culligan) Taylor passed away peacefully with her husband by her side. She is survived by Glen Taylor, her devoted husband; her three beloved sons, Jack, Thaddeus, and Everett; her mother and best friend, Kathleen (neé Foster) Schimpf (the former Dennis), her sister Katlyn Culligan (Scott Campbell), her step-siblings Nicole Schimpf and Dennis Schimpf (Lori); many nieces and nephews; and more friends and extended family than one could count.
“The measurement of a life is not its duration but its donation.” (Corrie ten Boon) That was never more true than for Erin, who packed every moment of her all-too-brief life with generosity, compassion, and joy. Erin was everyone's friend and energy personified. She was so proud of having recently graduated with her education degree, and even while balancing school with being a full-time mother, she volunteered as a foster dog parent, lent her photography and creativity to fundraisers, delivered meals to Holocaust survivors, visited nursing homes with her dog, substitute taught at Ledgeview Elementary, and did anything else anyone asked of her. However, nothing fulfilled her like being a mother. Her favorite creative outlet was hosting impromptu laser tag parties or devising paintball mazes for her boys and their friends in her backyard. She was fueled by coffee, dog snuggles, and her children's smiles.
In lieu of flowers, please continue Erin's legacy by supporting the organization that was nearest and dearest to her heart - Buffalo Underdog Rescue- https://www.buffalounderdogs.com/donate
