Edith M. Laird

Edith Laird (nee Brown), of Rochester, NY, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack Laird and a devoted mother to Wanda (Stephen) Cavuoto, Brenda (Charles) Roberts, and Linton Laird. Edith cherished her role as grandmother to Carin (Charles), Andrew (Jessica), Philip (Lea), Brandon (Jessica), Lindsy (Avan), and Katie (Nate), and she was a loving great-grandmother to twelve precious great-grandchildren.

Edith also held a special place in the hearts of her sister Edna (late William) McHutchin, and lovingly remembered her late sister Verna (late George) Luton. Her warmth extended to many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and spirit.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Edith’s life on Monday, May 11th—her birthday—from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 5090 Transit Road, Depew, NY. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 PM.
