October 11, 1937 — June 10, 2026

CLARENCE, NY — On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, heaven received another angel as Donna C. Summers (Kassel), of Clarence and formerly of Hamburg, New York, passed away peacefully.

Donna was a vibrant soul who lived life with energy, humor, and a deep love for her family. For over 32 years, her career took her thousands of miles behind the wheel driving a school bus in Springville, New York, where she touched the lives of countless students with her dedication and warmth.

An avid lover of a "good deal," Donna spent many happy hours exploring estate and garage sales, finding joy in refurbishing hidden treasures only to resell them. She had a sharp mind and a fun-loving spirit, enjoying trivia (especially Jeopardy!), comedy, going out to eat, watching her favorite TV shows, and dancing a  jitterbug. She loved basket raffles, family gatherings, and the companionship of her beloved rescued poodle, Maggie, who was faithfully by her side for many recent years.

Donna leaves behind a loving legacy in her three daughters:

• Connie (The late Dave) Deconinck of Hilton, NY

• Barb (Jim) Roberts of Logan, UT

• Lynn (Christopher) Gray of Williamsville, NY

She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a wonderful circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life

True to her wishes, Donna did not want a somber service—she wanted a party. Family and friends are warmly invited to a celebration open house to share stories, raise a glass, have a beer, and visit in her honor.

In lieu of flowers, Donna requested that donations be made to 7 Hearts Maternity Rescue, an organization close to her heart due to the incredible work a dear friend does to find loving homes for dogs.
