Listen to Obituary

With heartfelt sorrow, we remember David Edward Geib, Sr., a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather, and dear brother. Born to the late Edward and Beatrice (nee Eichinger) Geib, David’s life was marked by love, family, and a deep connection to those around him.

David shared a loving marriage with his wife, Christine McDermott, and together they built a family filled with warmth and joy. He was a proud father to Aaron (Jennifer), Amy (Eric), David Jr. (Teri-Anne), and Andrew (Michelle), and a treasured Papa to Lily, Allison, Caiden, Freya, Mackenzie, Madison, Johnathan, David III, Kai, and Ollie. His kindness and gentle spirit extended to his siblings Carol (Kenneth) Didion, Raymond (Karen), Jeanie (Russell) Swatsworth, and the memory of his late brothers Thomas and Edward Jr., along with many nieces and nephews who hold him fondly in their hearts.

David, lovingly known as Hotdog, found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—loving times spent hunting and fishing, and his passion for working on cars reflected his dedication and care in all that he did.

While we grieve his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived, one that touched so many with love and generosity.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25th at Rapids Fire Company Station 1- 7195 Plank Road Lockport, NY 14094 from 12:00 until 4:00 PM. All are welcome to join.
