June 2, 2013 of Depew, NY Beloved husband of the late Shirley M. (nee Hoefler) Schirching. Dearest father of Michael (Linda), Richard (Donna), Scott (Ellen) Schirching and Christy (Mark) Tuberdyke. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery. Mr. Schirching was a Navy veteran of WW II, member of Navy Seabee Veterans of America, Island X-5 and a member of the Buffalo Craftsman Club.
