August 30, 2013 age 79 of Cheektowaga, NY. Beloved son of the late Theodore and Helen (nee Herzog) Wachowiak; dearest brother of Henry (Henrietta) Wachowiak, Raymond (Delphine) Wachowiak and the late Gertrude (late Stephen) Szkotnicki; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Monday 3-7 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 85 George Urban Blvd. (west of Harlem Rd.) where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM and from St. John Gualbert Church at 10 AM. Entombment St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Mr. Wachowiak was a retiree of the Buffalo News with 41 years of service. Flowers gratefully declined.
