Charles "Charlie" Oliver Smith, Jr.

From Cheektowaga, Charles Oliver Smith, Jr. was a man of warmth and dedication. As a loving son to the late Charles Sr. and Dolores Smith, he carried forward their legacy of love and commitment. A devoted father, Charlie cherished his time with Angela (Charles) Hunt, Andrew (Kathy) Smith, and Derek (Janet) Yager. His heart overflowed with pride for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A much-loved brother to Gary (Karen) Smith, Guy (Cheryl) Smith, and Cindy (David) Snyder, Charlie's kindness and humor will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

His professional career was marked by his pivotal role as the main cameraman at Channel 7, where his eye for detail and creativity left an indelible mark. Beyond his career, Charlie found joy in bowling and was passionately involved in his community. As the event coordinator for the Variety Club, he gave tirelessly, embodying a spirit of generosity and enthusiasm. Something he took a lot of pride in was coordinating the cruise nights on Tuesdays for all the classic cars in the area. Charlie was also an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved spending football Sunday's with his family. 

Charlie's life was a testament to love, family, and service. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
