Cathy Hoch

Catherine J. Hoch, a cherished resident of Depew, NY, left this world on July 27, 2025, at the age of 73. Cathy will forever be remembered as a beloved wife of 49 years to David A. Hoch, with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring marriage.

As a loving mother, she nurtured and inspired her children, David II (Jamie) and Cheryl (Brian) Barber, fostering a family filled with love and laughter. Her warmth extended to her role as a grandmother, where she took joy in the lives of her grandchildren: Brayden, Parker, Addilyn, Benjamin, and Mia. Each moment spent with them was a treasured gift.

Cathy’s spirit and kindness were felt beyond her immediate family. She was a sister to John Scotland, Roseann Scotland,  the late Doug Page and George Scotland. Her legacy of love continues through her nieces and nephews, who were all touched by her generous and caring nature.

Cathy was a long time employee of HSBC (formerly Marine Midland) Bank and a Classic League Bowler.  She enjoyed spending time in Florida and was an avid camper. 

Friends and family are invited to share in her memory on Monday August 4 and Tuesday August 5 from 4-8 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Buffalo, where all are welcome to assemble.

If desired, contributions can be made to the Depew-Lancaster Boys & Girls Club 60 Preston Street, Depew, NY, 14043 where Cathy dedicated her time volunteering for special events.

Cathy's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
