Carlene Rita Gallagher

Rita Gallagher (née Brown) of Buffalo, NY, peacefully passed away on April 18, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Jerry D. Gallagher and a loving mother to Julia (Paul ) Gallagher-Lavoie and Brigid Borsuk. Rita’s warmth and kindness extended deeply to her cherished grandchildren Charlotte, Beatrix, Stanley, Zoe, and Donovan.

She was a dear sister to the late Irma (the late Mendell) Bartlett, the late Walter (Theresa) Brown, and the late Vicki Payne. Rita’s family circle also included devoted nieces and nephews: Chuck Jones, Bill Jones, Debra (Rod) Gilliland, Gary (Pam) Brown, Adam Wright, and Evan (Kristina) Wright , as well as being a great aunt to Katie, Michael, Jake and Wesley and great-great-aunt to Gemma. Beyond her family, Rita's generous spirit touched the lives of many close friends who will hold her memory dear.
