June 9, 2013 age 80, of Cheektowaga, NY Beloved daughter of the late Raymond A. and Frances (nee Geercken) Mahony; loving sister of late Raymond F. (Sharon) and the late Mary M. Mahony; dear aunt of Mark (Tina Czemerys), Timothy (Charlene), Daniel (Sandra) and Sean (MaryPat) Mahony; also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces. Family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the MELVIN J. SLIWINSKI FUNERAL HOME 5090 Transit Road (south of Como Park Blvd.) where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:15 AM and from St. Martha Parish at 10 AM. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Betty was a member of St. Martha's Altar & Rosary Guild, former Eucharistic Minister, Outreach and Sanctuary volunteer and a retiree of Travelers Insurance after 40 years of service. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials may be made to St. Martha's Food Pantry or Hospice Buffalo.
