Andrew J. Wityk

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew J. Wityk on August 30, 2025, in Buffalo, NY. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories as a devoted husband of 44 years to Theresa (née Szymanski) and a loving father to his beloved sons, Nicholas and James Wityk and the late Baby Andrew.

Andrew was a man who wore many hats, each with equal grace and dedication. He was the dear brother to Kathryn (the late Joseph) Seweryniak, Michele Marsh, and Suzanne Shifley, and his warmth extended to a host of nieces, nephews, and a godchild, all of whom will remember him fondly.

The Wityk family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects on Wednesday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Panachyda service at 7:00 PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 5090 Transit Rd, Depew, NY 14043.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. George’s Orthodox Church, Buffalo. We kindly ask attendees to assemble at the church. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that contributions be made to St. George’s in Andrew’s honor. 

As we gather to celebrate the life of Andrew J. Wityk, let us remember him not only for the moments we shared but also for the love and joy he brought into our lives.
